Eat Lighter

If I start the day with a solid meal of whole grains, protein and vegetables or fruit, I know that I will not have to break down and eat unhealthy food. A good breakfast gives you strength to make good decisions.

Sandwiches are a fantastic invention that make it easier to eat well on the run. Here are creative gluten-free, vegan sandwiches, as well as some old favorites. I use the term “sandwich” loosely.

I make hearty salads with grains and healthy fats that fill me up and leave me satisfied. There are no anorexic golfer salads on this page! That just leads to sadness and bingeing rather than long term health.

Soup is primarily a liquid food, generally served warm or hot, that is made by combining ingredients of meat or vegetables with stock, juice, water, or another liquid. Hot soups are additionally characterized by boiling solid ingredients in liquids.
