All-Natural and Bloody Halloween Tequila Cocktail
Hibiscus makes this delicious cocktail blood red with natural color. Quality tequila and just a touch of maple syrup makes this punch puke-free. Your guests will smile as they sip it on the Halloween Party dance floor in a swirl of costumes.
The day before:
- Get 30 Red Zinger tea bags (Celestial Seasonings has hibiscus, rosehips, lemongrass, peppermint, etc. It’s delicious with alcohol)
- Brew tea and let it cool (instructions below)
- Make 2 ice hands (instructions below)
- Find your ladle, punch bowl that can hold at least 1 gallon, and cups you want to use for serving
- Make sure you have tequila, cinnamon and real maple syrup
Make the Ice Hands
- Get 3 rubber gloves
- Add water to one glove until it looks like a hand and tie it shut
- Do it again. Use the 3rd glove if the first 2 break
- Lay flat on a plate or pan in the freezer over night
Brew the tea
- Boil 1 gallon of water
- Add 30 red zinger tea bags and steep for 4-6 min
- Gently squeeze and remove tea bags
- Let the tea cool
When it’s party time, combine ingredients in a punch bowl:
- Half a .75ml bottle of good tequila (ex: Gran Centenario Plata, Espelon, Hornitos, etc)
- Half of the chilled tea
- 1-2 tablespoons of real maple syrup
- A dusting of cinnamon
- 1 ice hand
- When empty refill with the remaining tequila, tea and ice hand and add maple syrup and cinnamon for the second round
